- dashboard login is ALWAYS OK thank goodness,
- BUT dashboard login does NOT also log me into the community page/site
I have now also deleted cookies - no joy
Tried wifi instead network data - no joy -that was only to check 4G worked anyway - it did.
I repeat - I CAN log into MyGiffGaff Just fine -NO PROBLEMO - BUT….
when logged into dashboard and I go to Community page/site I see it as a GUEST!!!! only.
If I hit the edit icon at the top right of the community page to write a post I am asked for a username and password again. This dialog looks bit like an unfamiliar emergency hack because for one thing it has no ‘eye’ icon to view the whole password. And when I enter my username and passsword AGAIN it it always rejected with a red banner at the top that reads
“ You do not have permission to do that ”
Which is also worded like a a slightly rushed hack piece of emergency code.
Maybe someone would be kind enough to search the code for that text and discover the unusual case when it is used, because I cannot even find a workaround, I have to use another device topost on this community!!! And I am sure you must be curious how this happens anyway.
I am not inclined just yet to install another browser for every site I visit - this is an Android smartphone with not too much storage and it might add further complications- although I might in future try firefox for android IF THE PHONE IS OK since I use firefox on my windows laptop, however at this stage with a new device I have more urgent priorities setting it all up- for instance it took ages to copy over all my 13K text messages via local storage (not just the 165 contacts) …
