So I bought a new phone and I thought I’d review it for you
Motorola One Hyper
Features that made me buy it
-NFC ( I had to use NFC to read my passport to get right to remain in UK after Brexit O_0)
-3.5 mm Jack ( I still have many head sets and I like to be able to charge and listen at the same time
-recent phone, so I would get updates
Totally awesome features
-large screen, small bezels, pop up selfie camera
-large battery, lasts full day ( including browsing in full sun with screen turned up)
-128 GB of internal memory, upgradable ( If you only use 1 SIM)
-Moto skin is quite cool and has useful gestures ( turn face down to go in to “ do not disturb”!)
-supporsts USB OTG ( ‘on the go’, means I can plug in USB stick to transfer data or connect keyboard (!) or other peripherals.
-comes with soft case
-wide angle lenses
could be better
- I think 6.5 inch is a bit large. OK for hands, but barely fits in pockets
- doesn’t let you put passcode before starting up( my Wiley Fox swift 2 let me, I thought it was Android feature)
- bit expensive at 266 pounds
- although it accepts fast charge at 47 watt, it comes with a 18 watt charger. Makes the feature kinda obsolete, I am not spending 30+ pounds to get a better charger
I only buy budget phones and have been using android for 9 years now, but this phone really feels like a smartphone. Really happy with it and I hope it will last between the 3-5 years. The price is pretty ok, considering I would normally buy a soft case and SD card for about 40 pounds in total, so actually it is a pretty good price!
