tullo81 Hi there and thanks for your question.
- With the £ 20 Goodybag (purchase link), you get 80GB ‘full-speed’ mobile data.
- With the £ 25 ‘Always-on’ goodybag (purchase link), you also get 80GB full-speed data. However, should you reach 80GB, you’ll still be able to access mobile data, albeit at a much, much slower rate. Please see information below relating to the £ 25 Always-on goodybag plan.
Always-On means you never run out of data. When using the £ 25 Always-On Goodybag, you get 80 GB of 4G full speed data, then a reduced data speed of 384 kbps (maximum) from 8am to midnight.
You may notice that activities which require high amounts of data, like HD video streaming, will be slower if you go over the full speed cap. Basic access to emails and web browsing should work fine though, albeit at a much slower pace.
If you do go over the full-speed cap and need some faster data, you can always start your next goodybag early.
Please see giffgaff’s “what does Always-On mean” article for more details about the Always-On Goodybag and how it works.
giffgaff don’t offer any truly unlimited data goodybags. All goodybags come with unlimited calls and texts to standard UK mobiles and landlines.
