Thank you for all your suggestions and yes it is really great that we have been able to implement some of the changes that members have asked for. This is why all members’ feedback is so important to us.
@ray2 Yes the two year exclusion is still in place for the top 2 winners from last year and they will not be allowed back on for this nomination until next year, you’re absolutely spot on. Any charity that has had a donation prior to the last payout period will use the old ruling, so in two years time all charities will fall under the new rules if it remains as is.
@kath72 With regards to the ability to allow members to donate part of their payback, it is a really great idea, we haven’t got to this one as yet as it would require significant development time. This has been mentioned by quite a few members, whilst it won’t happen this nomination period it is one that we are still exploring.
We are giving the different exclusion period a try but we still need to find out how and what we measure from this. I know that we would be able to measure the increase of the amount of charities that benefit from donations but I think that this is measurable from the increase in the amount of charities that we are giving donations to rather than the exclusion period.
What I am seeing from “let’s hear your feedback” is we want to measure
The diversity of the charities nominated increases (this can relate to the fact that we now have 5 charities receiving a donation alongside with the exclusion period)
If smaller charities benefit from the 5 year exclusion
If you can think of anything else that we can measure from extending the exclusion period that would help us see if this is something that we will continue to do we would really love to hear about it.
