harrrrrry But how many sims have you ordered, which have not been activated?
I’ve just looked on my dashboard and it is not even showing the amount of SIMs I have ordered previously, as they fall outside of the current 6 month payback period. Maybe i might ask an agent as to how many SIMs I have, and how many activations I need in order to get the limit increased.
It’s just unfair that I cannot seem to get ly limit increase, and that a new member has the right to have more SIMs delivered.
If the SIMs have a timeout date and won’t activate after a certain time, or won’t be credited to my account, then how can it be resolved?
My monthly limit is indeed 15 SIMs. I might order the whole lot now and then at least I’m claiming the full 15 each month!
harrrrrry giffgaff is likely to treat it as abuse of payback
But what if my parents do want to get new recruits? Does that mean that, because I have a lower limit than my parents, they cannot order SIMs as well as me, and therefore if I earn Payback, they cannot? If so, that’s pretty unfair.
And under that logic, does that mean that, if I was to ever get a higher limit, then I couldn’t order any because my parents are only at 30 SIMs, and therefore bypassing a restriction?
I’m just saying that it’s quite strange that my parents have a higher SIM limit than me, and from what you’re saying, couldn’t make use of it if they even wanted to because my limit is lower (and that the SIMs distributed from their MGM would be helping them, not me, so wouldn’t benefit me financially anyway).
mrjeeves I used to have 30, then it went down to 15 then 12.
Interesting… so how do you think I can get mine back up? I’m not after the huge boxes of 50, I just want my 30 back.
Glad to hear that you sell them on eBay; I tried this but couldn’t get anywhere with it. Visibility of my listings was low and I wasn’t able to sell them unless I started a listing at 1p auction with free postage - then inputting the details into giffgaff’s MGM page and giffgaff sending the SIMs to the buyers. Sending them myself with a stamp would result in making a loss - yes, there is Payback, but what if the SIM is for a SIM swap? And this was before SIMs started appearing in shops, and before the GDPR rules came into place, thus hiding the email address from view. (And giffgaff’s online form requires an email address to be used!)
Of course, if you’re not happy to share in the public forums, then send me a PM instead, but I just want to try and find out how this SIM recruiting is possible (especially on eBay where I have struggled, and it has not been viable at all since GDPR).
Good luck with getting to SR staus! 🙂
