Hi. Could you please explain to me how you can charge £6.66 for sending a one-word text to Hotel Chocolat on 65555. Thank you
merode That is a premium number so it will be Hotel Chocolat charging you, not giffgaff.
You can check how much you have been charged for premium texts on your usage statement.
merode Hi there, are you sure it was Hotel Chocolat you were texting, that is a premium rate text number which could cost up to £10 per SMS - it could have been a scam text, please see this guide
Hi you should be charged £2.10 in total
10p for the outgoing text, and £2 for the reverse charge
Are you getting mixed up with the information from 43431 ?
That will include your remaining balance, not what the charge was
From your phone keypad dial *100# and press call
What’s your current balance?
merode unfortunately that would be classed as a premium number, these numbers are not included in our free text allowances and the rates will be different to texting standard numbers.
Hi, this is a premium number,
you will be charged for this sms.
