The reason I singled out Porridge oats is I’m a great believer in their benefits. If you are trying to keep your weight down a breakfast bowl can give several hours of slow release energy and stave of hunger and are a fantastic all-round foodstuff known to help lower cholesterol as well.
If you change snacking on chocolate/cakes/crisps etc for a quick Microwave bowl of oats it’s much healthier. Also as a Biker I have a bowl before I go out for a ride especially in cold weather as it keeps core body temps up 🙂
