I never received my £5 but my friend did who I recommended back the start of July. How's that??
@staceyg1991 The new joined member will get their £5 as credit within the first few days, but you will get yours the following month as payback. So your new member joins in July gets it In July as joining credit, and yours will be in August as 500 points and redeemable in December.
But yours will show on your August statement.
On now in the photography board. Join in here Let's see and share some of your favourite animals. August challenge.
Interesting trials , both look to have great potential , it's good to see giffgaff looking at ways to improve things and try different ideas , and It's nice to see a little " giffgaffiness " in the way things are done ...... well done to all involved .
@richardf_, just a thought, in case helpful... if the £10 credit for a new member is split into two separate £5 credits then they won't be able to use the credit immediately to buy a £10 goodybag, which might disappoint them. Also, if splitting it into two £5 credits, have you thought about issuing the second credit at the start of the new member's second month instead of after five days? That might be an even nicer surprise for the new member.
Anyway, just some thoughts, but I'm sure you've thought such options through already. I think your trials are interesting.
I think you are forgetting that in order to activate the SIM and receive ANY bonus on activation you need to either buy a goodybag of value £10+ or topup Airtime credit with at least £10 - so the new members will either already have a goodybag, or have £15 credit which will be plenty for the goodybag.
