Suppose if clear that refurb is preowned, and its not misselling, so as not to bite gg on bum for another fine in 6months, gd stuff. The extended warranty will be welcomed I'm sure..

Just to clarify: if I buy a NEW phone from gg and it develops a fault within a year I return it to gg for repair/ replacement in the unlikely case it is not repairable. By consumer law I do NOT return it to the manufacturer, I return it to gg. It is gg’s responsibility to repair or replace.
In the case of a used/ refurbished phone, if I have cause to have it repaired after 30 days it won’t be replaced even if it cannot be repaired, but I have the option to try the manufacturer, or anyone else to try to get it mended.
If I have it repaired within the 30 days though, it is not clear that the 30 days repair/ replace guarantee starts again from the date of repair.
Comments anyone?

This is a blatant lie!

my z5 compact that brought is supposed to qualify under the extended warranty. The phone starts up but immediately switches itself off after stating it needs to repair itself. Try accessing GiffGaff return/repair system but stated warranty ended. The phone is within the warranty period. Don’t believe this lie, stay away from there second hand phones!

@brooksn What was the exact date your phone was delivered after purchase?

You have a full 12 months giffgaff warranty, from that date, excluding accidental damage.

@mrphipps Your contractual agreement is with giffgaff. In the case of new phones only, you have the option to approach the manufacturer as well.

Reconditioned phones can only be replaced, if a similar phone is available. If not you may be offered an alternative model subject to a cash adjustment.

In all cases if a fault develops in 30 days a full refund is payable subject to an accidental damage exclusion.
