@carolepete I understand how this can affect a person like you. I am very sorry you were affected in this way. I hope you are feeling a bit better now. It is very hard for some people to realise how much a person like you relies on their phone. Not all disabilities are visible.

I ended up having to go out and buy an EE mifi becuase of "ZERO"communication from you. No email, no txt and often no line. !!!!!!!!!!!! A hugh impact on my consulancy business as I only use a moblie line (no landline). Very upset middle eaastern clients who had no idea about outage. Missed conference calls, client appointments, etc ..

 

Again ZERO communiacation .. not even a voicemail re updates, down time, etc .. for the times I actually could get a line ...

 

Nextime a Plusnet offer comes around I'll be giving it serious consideration as the customer experience cannot be any worse than the way GiffGaff handled this ...

as a low user i was not really affected,good to see options for charity. do we get any say, i have some charities than i would never donate to,but others i willingly give to

soory mate vodaphone customer service are based in South Africa. They are the worst I promise you. That said the way Giff Gaff dealt with this was as bad as it get get ... ZERO communication .... voicemail/email ... etc not even a number you could call (when you could actually get a line) .. just left their customer hanging in the wind ...

Hey giffgaff! So sorry that that happened! Obviously you do your best to make sure it doesn't and it must have been very stressful for you too. For some reason I was still connecting (very weakly) to EE and O2 -- not in a useable way but enough to get a text -- and I'm wondering if maybe there could be like a process where perhaps you might send an email or text message to users when it's happening because I thought maybe something was wrong with my phone. But if I know it's a network outage and you're on it, I can chill out and know I have to look for WiFi instead of restarting my phone a bazillion times to try to fix it. :-D maybe you could even put in the text something like "since it's a network outage you might be getting this later than we sent it" in case it doesn't get through right away. <3 Thanks so much for setting up this thread!
