I thought I was getting it at no extra charge.
There's no extra charge -- but the extra data on the £20 goodybag can't be used when outside the UK -- because EU roaming partners charge giffgaff a lot more to provide you data overseas than o2 charges giffgaff when you're in the UK.
So, if you're somewhere in EU/EEA that extra data will not be available to you. However, if you return to the UK part way through your goodybag month, the extra 20GB will again become availble.
Great stuff team. But I still need Always on* because I am constantly on my PS4 and need the data to stick around. Cheers.
How well does the PS4 perform when the speed drops to 2G (384kbps) during the day?
384kbps is UMTS speeds, which is the speed provided for a basic 3G service.
Hopefully the new 40GB data goodybag (double data from 20GB) will help so that more members avoid hitting the bare bones 3G speed caps on Always On - as Always On will also be 40GB full speed now that the £20 goodybag has been doubled.
