No I think what he meant was that my post said 1st October, which was right when I posted it in august. My post has now been edited to avoid confusion

So if I use over 100mb per day will I be charge? How will I know if I have used up my daily allowance?  Is there a way of checking internet usage?

You may well get a polite reminder from giffgaff if you persistantly go over the daily limit. You wont be charged at this stage tho

The only way to check your usage would be on your phone itself. Most phones have a data-counter feature which you could reset every night to keep an eye on your usage

I must admit 100mb per day free until the 1st of December is appealing, but only until that date,

at the moment Lebara are doing 10mb per day free until 31st December. If giffgaff where to start

charging from 2nd December then I would have to consider whether to switch certainly for 1 month

and Virgin charge 30p per day upto 25mb which is an ongoing offer so for usage > 1.5mb < 25mb

per day this looks appealing too. My typical usage is 5mb per day.

snubbs, take a look at the blog - it explains the plans for the £30 replacement.

If you want to discuss the replacement - there are plenty of threads within Discuss or within the blog post.

Claire.
