Summary

Due to the fact that February has 28 days this year, we expect a high volume of goodybags that need to be recurred on this day. As a precaution the lock out period in which you cannot make changes to a recurring goodybag has been set to begin early, at 18:00 pm.

Just a quick update on this one. It has been confirmed that the maintenance was successful and members are now able to update their goodybags as normal. Hopefully, this didn't cause too much of an inconvenience for you guys.

Hello folks,

 

We have come to the end of a short February and that means we will have an increase number of goodybags recurring tonight. To make sure we handle this smoothly, we have extended the lock out period to begin at 18:00 this evening. This means that members will not be able to make changes to their recurring goodybag after that time. 

 

We will keep you updated and let you know how it all went.

Congratulations on having so many more members on recurring goodybags to need to be extending this again.

 

What happened to the idea that you were going to be getting faster servers to handle this better?  Or was this just a precaution to ensure there was still enough capacity for handling manual purchasing or queueing of goodybags during the lockout period?

 

Edit: just realised this was yesterday's announcement.  Time to turn my calendar over...
