It's confirmed that this doesn't occur on Orange or on 3 - at the moment it is an O2/giffgaff problem.

I have show "Phone-> Show My Caller Id"  set to Off on my iphone as well.

Still comes up when you go to the website

Worryingly is that any dodgy site or even non dodgy site can now theoretically go through all historical web requests and harvest phone numbers.

Wow. I haven't got any credit to test it out, but I'm not happy, because I've been using data. Better let my sister know.

Thanks Smiley Happy

Caller ID is only for calls, that's why that is adfos... But yeah, the point is that it's not a good thing to be happening

'adfos' is correct - any website can retrospectively look through their logs for the last x years and pull out your phone numbers.

Wonder if this can be a giffgaff fix on its own or if it would have to be done through o2

O2 will have to fix it by the look of things, it also does the same for tesco users so looks like an o2 issue which only they can solve.
