Dear Giffgaff,

How about some compensation for your error?

It's not for giffgaff to compensate is it, it's O2's error.

Wrong on two counts. Actually it's giffgaff's error for choosing O2 and it's giffgaff's responsibility for entering into a contract with us.

first of all your gonna need to list all the calls & texts that you've received as a result of this & then prove that you've not inadvertently given your number out yourself.... if for example you use an android you will notice that many apps require access to your phone (even the dialler) to function. If you can manage to rule out all these type of causes for the spam you may have recieved, there is a slight possibility you may have a case... i'd advise not holding your breath tho...

That's not how these things work in law.

Can you come onto these forums without complaining, please!? All I ever see from you is you complaining about something someone says!

We don't have a contract with giffgaff.

O2 would have offered the best deal and the MD used to work for O2.

I stick with my original comment - now I'm unsubscribing from this thread because I'm not interested in you moaning and adding you to my ignore list.

The post you quoted wasn't complaining so there's one example for you. Another would be pretty much all of my posts for example the work I do in the ideas and contribute boards and my congratulations about BB today.

And you're still wrong - we do have a contract with giffgaff - we pay them money for services rendered.

If you don't want people to correct you don't post false and misleading information trying to confuse people.

@turkeyphant @samlowe

Hey guys,

To settle it im wrong Smiley Happy end of Smiley Happy

I know the law is not that strict they give the business a chance Smiley Happy

So in a context you both are right.
But the law states you should give the business a chance to recitify it.

If thy show a sign they are fixing that is enough for the law but if a problem is not fixed without any valid reason then the law has a right to step in.

In between the problem and the law their is giffgaff complaint service.

I am not saying that the person with problem has tp suffer tho :/
