It's so annoying! I thought we'd got past this issue with upgrades, etc? I hope we get the network (data) back's the 21st century and we're completely reliant on data! :-(

Hi everyone,

The technical team has identified the root cause of the issue impacting 2G, 3G and 4G services across the UK.  They are now working on a possible solution. At the moment we do not have a time frame for when this issue will be fixed but as soon as we get more information we will make sure to keep you in the loop.

Many thanks,

I'm joining the club. Nothing was working about an hour ago for me, now I seem to be getting a minimum signal but all I can do is call as even the text aren't getting delivered. Very very frustrating, hope it gets sorted asap =/

I need data on my phone for work today! Going to have to buy another SIM from the shops if it's not working soon

Further to :

Your best option for data service this morning is to use wifi where available -- many stations have it and so do most branches of mcdonalds but there are many other places.

To find local wifi services, use the coverage checker

  • put in your postcode
  • ignore the "normal coverage" statements (the coverage checker does not know about temporary faults)
  • turn on the wifi option underneath the map

Note that public wifi may not be secure so should probably not be used for banking etc. If you can't wait, you may need to use services at a cash dispenser, visit a branch or telephone the bank.

To find when the problem is fixed, check the opening post of this thread (it's easier than wading through the comments).

Or, check the status at but again you must ignore any "normal coverage" statements and read only the first line after the "live results" heading.

Thanks for looking in to this. Was just trying to make a voice call, and this does not seem to be working either. Goes straight to 'call failed'.
