How come some are now able to use data and send texts? Mines still not working, thinking I should have stayed with EE!

This has given me so many lols it's unreal..!

No offence, but as many people have said, people complaining about lost business when the T&Cs clearly state you shouldn't use this for business, and people complaining about the technology yet it's 2018, and they're still trying to use SMS.

Please get a grip peeps!  These things happen, thankfully rarely!

Well that was a fun day (!)

Stuck at home with a totally useless £20 goodybag and - despite constant assurances on the news that they were - voice calls that were intermittent at best.

I buy the £20 goodybag purely because we don't have a landline or home broadband. My daughter is also on giffgaff, and so is my partner. Partner goes to work, I'm left with no means of communicating. O2's statement on the news yet again tells me voice is okay.

It's now 8.38pm and I have had 3G for about an hour. No 4G.

A game I have spent months playing was ruined. I have to sign in once every 12 hours to keep my troops safe from attacks. Thanks.

Also I was unable to travel as I left my wallet with the missus and I always buy my bus tickets on the app. Thanks, again.

Oh and eSigning documents relating to my current job application? Nope! Thanks!

Rant over as I know this is not a giffgaff issue, but this time I will be raising a complaint. I have to direct it to giffgaff but that's only a formality. I hope this puts pressure on O2 to have backups in place with its providers.

I was around when this last happened in 2012. I was a giffgaff customer then, but that time didn't have as big an impact as we then had a landline and broadband.

So yeah, well done giffgaff for attempting to keep us updated, well done O2 for shafting us again. Oh and well done Ericsson: nailed it there, eh?! Lol. Peace.

Do you know when it will be back on? I know a few of my mates have got there's back on and u can't afford to have mine off as need it for work. I've also been told that it should be working again at 10pm. I know your trying your best to resolve it and I understand that. Do the customers get a refund or not? Courtney

Hello! Would just like to say that I appreciate all the hard work going I to restoring service, this is the first time I've experienced an outage on giffgaff in at least three years and it's not even an outage for me, can still send and receive calls just a bit sketchy on the text side of shizzle! Hope the techs enjoy their sleep when they get it! Technology is never ever perfect in general anyway! Keep on being a kick ass network folks, it doesn't go unnoticed!! Peace, Luis : )

I still can't make phone calls or text messages. Any idea when this is going to be fixed?
