Do you have another unactivated giffgaff sim card?
Could you try these steps
(wait a few minutes between each step, wait to see if a connection symbol appears then Tey a connection)
Switch your phone off and remove the sim
Wipe the sim contacts with a cloth
Wait 5 minutes
Select giffgaff in the pop up networks list,
(mention if you don't see a pop up list)
If you don't see a connection symbol after a few minutes
Try and select a different network mode and then a manual roam
And select one by one to see if a connection symbol appears
Go to network operators
Make a manual search and select a network other than o2
Wait till it fails then select o2
If a connection symbol doesn't appear, try an automatic selection
GiffGaff not working properly till mid morning,What can we expect in compensation,I have heard that O2 are offering customers £75 for the disruption
Not what I've heard. I've heard it's two day's worth of airtime credit.
I demand compensation!!
yesterday morning I actually had to talk to my wife at breakfast! What!
once on my way to work I had no idea about the buses because I had no data so could be be informed when the next one was due, but thankfully a nice man in his 70s looked at the timetable at the bus stop and informed me of times. Once the bus came I had to wait in a que to pay, i along with others had to actually use cash!! I can tell you I wasn’t the only one puzzled by this. Once on the bus I had a little old dear talk to me, imagine the horror! I didn’t know what was going on. Then when I got off I had to find some coins (what are they?) to pay for my chokka mocha skinny latte. I along with lots of other panicked looking people didn’t know what was going on. BUT it gets worse, once at the office I still had no data or anything and I... now wait for this I know you are going to be shocked but I actually had to do some work!! It was such a long long day! The journey home was no better as I actually had to converse with total strangers! Once home I had to go to bed and recover.
so yes, please compensate me the sum of 50p for the loss of service and the trauma I am still getting over.
