Blackberry...the wait is over.

I’m really pleased to announce that from today you’ll be able to get Blackberry services on giffgaff.  You can now get a Blackberry add on to your goodybag for an additional £3, which will give you access to full Blackberry services, such as BBM.

We’ve had lots of giffgaff members asking for us to provide Blackberry services both here on the Forum and in our Social networks, especially on our Facebook page.

Unfortunately we had to delay the launch of Blackberry due to some service issues which impacted our core infrastructure however with fixes made (and being made), I’m happy to say that we are now in a position to push Blackberry live. For those giffgaffers who buy the Hokey Cokey goodybag, you’ll have a little longer to wait (sorry) as we are still working on adding the functionality to buy it with Hokey Cokey.

We had some handy giffgaffers helping with the testing of Blackberry so thank you to all of those who helped out.

So, that’s it, giffgaff meet Blackberry, Blackberry meet giffgaff.  Why not pass on the good news and let your friends who are on Blackberry know that giffgaff is up and running with BB.

Can someone tell me if the Blackberry services will work on a Blackberry tour? im asking because it isnt one of the phones listed :) thanks

what I don't get is the pricing, giffgaff bb services will cost £13 pm at least, seeing as you have to buy a goodybag, whereas some people (especially teenagers) won't have that kind of money, and aren't interested in having 250mins, so they'd much rather go to tmobile who do 6months free bb+net, then £20 every six months, instead of paying £13pm for something that is new, prone to make mistakes for now, and something they won't really use. non-bb users will probably end up taking the strain on the net services, and I'm guessing prices will be increased everywhere to ease the cost of setting up bb for a minority of users. ever the optimist lol...

Thanks oldyorkie, but your link still has the old info:

See this: "* What's more, when we get our BlackBerryservices up and running by the end of the year, you won't need to do any of this - thus, the opera mini browser should keep you going for a while."

So what do we do now? What are the new setting? Has anyone got everything working on a BB? And hsow easy / difficult is it?

Are there NEW instruction?

as i already have a live giff gaff goodey bag it will not let me buy the blackberry add on that i have been waiting for, for 3 months, it tells me that it is already included in my goodeybag but i have not paid for it so what does this mean ?

So whoever already bought a goodybag has to buy another one to have the access to bb service or can we add it on separetly to the one we already got?

yipee my 12 year old would have had killed me if she had to wait any longer!

basically we have to wait till the live one has ended so that we can actually buy the two together so the goodeybag and the blackberry one ..
