The giffgaff Gameshow, Challenge Ant makes it's first appearance on the giffgaff blog section. giffgaff community member - Rossides was the first brave challenger in a fierce game of Texas Hold 'em Poker.
For those of you that are not too familiar with the rules of poker, I've taken the liberty of including some basic rules of the game:
The Very Basics
Poker is played from a standard pack of 52 cards. The cards are ranked (from high to low) Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, Ace. (Ace can be high or low, but is usually high).
There are four suits (spades, hearts, diamonds and clubs); however, no suit is higher than another. All poker hands contain five cards, the highest hand (combination of 5 or less cards) wins.
A 1 v 1 game of Texas Hold 'em Poker
The player with the most chips at the end of the game wins
There is a 25 minute time limit
Rossides is competing for A Challenge Ant Winner's Trophy, A Challenge Ant T-Shirt and a £50 Amazon gift voucher.
Mike AKA Rossides, has been a giffgaff community member for over two years. He plays poker profesionally and travels up and down the country participating in large tournaments.
I'm a giffgaff community Educator and regularly play poker online for play money. My proudest poker moment was once turning 1000 play chips into 1 Million whilst playing poker online, in one long evening back in 2006.
