More Hokey Cokey

handy giff-staffer

It's been almost 5 months since we launched Hokey Cokey, probably giffgaff's craziest goodybag. Hokey Cokey gives you 60 UK minutes, 300 texts, and a free minute for every minute you get called. A very unusual approach to a goodybag product, as to understand its total value you first need to know if you tend to receive more calls than the ones you make.

As this product was completely different from our standard goodybags, we launched it under giffgaff labs and waited to see for reactions and conversations around it. The feedback so far has been promising and we can already see in our new our offer section that Hokey Cokey is the second most ‘liked’ goodybag.

Given its popularity, we’ve had no other option than to extend Hokey Cokey‘s expiry date; so for all of you doing the Hokey Cokey, you will be able to continue purchasing this goodybag until 30 JUN 2011. These 2 months will allow us to study the possibility of making this product permanent and to replace our current labs offering with something new and exciting.

Changes in the site reflecting the new end date for Hokey Cokey will take place this am, a few hours after Barcelona beats Real Madrid in Champions League. For all Hokey Cokey fans, please continue telling us those amazing stories on how you manage to receive more calls and get those extra free minutes.

This is such a great plane! I don't need unlimited texts every month, but I do need some minutes. But I can only afford £5 a month! So this is great! And the gaining more calls bonus is excellent too!

Please please please please please make this permanent!

Like many folks are saying, this goodybag is the best. I use about 250 txts a month, and whilst 60 mins of calls is useful, I could get by with only 30 mins...expecially if it means having a bundle of txts and calls for £5 a month.

I'd love to be on Hokey Cokey, and I was while data was free. But without inclusive data, it just doens't work. £10 a month, 100 minutes, unlimited texts, unlimited data, 1 minute for every minute received. Now *that's* a winner!

Please make Hokey Cokey permanent, it beats the old Three we-pay tariff easily. On We-pay you had to make a three minute call to get just one minute back! Giffgaffs 1 for 1 is easier to understand and much better value.

Good way to get us talking! (hope it's not a ploy, but perhaps not if possibly it may be made permanent) I used to use well more than 300 Tx's, tried Hokey Cokey before & reverted to unlimited Tx's.

This time, used H.C. again as I needed to make a number of business hours calls, I then started calling using my excess minuets to save my Tx's & found that people (often with excess minuets on contract) would keep calling me back, I quickly found I had double what I started with!

For the rest of the month I would be varying between 100 & 120 extra minuets & in the end, I got by with 50 Tx's to spare. :-)

It would be a nice option to keep H.C. as it is, but please don't reduce the number of Tx's in exchange for internet  unless we can gain Tx's the same way as minuets! (or monthly credit so as we have a choice how we use it)

keep up the good work ;-)

Hokey cokey is one of the best five pound bundles i think i have ever had, not only is it great vaule for the sixty minutes and texts's but its also such a charm when every i get a notification of my extra min's, like a gamble and investment towards your incoming calls, such fun and all for a fiver

Hokey cokey a right good lady godiva

Keep up the great work

The HC for me is the perfect goodybag, well almost.

As mentioned previously why can't some sort of data usage be added to the bundle?

The first Goody Bag with a data allowance is the £10 option.

To be honest i was with Tesco mobile before switching to GG and I was using their £10 monthly option.

This covered

250 mins

5000 texts

500Mb internet

So if GG only plan on allowing data from the £10 good bag  onwards what really is the point when I can get more from another company that also runs off O2??

Very true. GG will have to move and shake a bit faster as competition is heating up on the data side and the incentive to migrate is more easily blurred.
