Third #handsetchallenge

handy giff-staffer

Since announcing the launch of our handset project, the excitement has been building every day.  Frankly, we can’t wait so we thought to ourselves – why not share the excitement?

We’re inviting members to get in on the action by helping us make our handset pages better than what’s out there.  Most are pretty boring.  To avoid spreading boredom-induced comas, we are shaking up the status quo with your help.

Our favourite idea from the first handset challenge was member handset reviews – it’s brilliant, but in order to do this we need members willing to get in front of a camera.  Up to the challenge?  This is what we need:

Lights. Camera. Action

  1. prepare a video review of your current or another handset.
  2. videos should last between 1-2 minutes.
  3. submit or share your video (via YouTube or one of these other video sharing sites) to reviews@giffgaff.co.uk by 29th August 2013
  4. We will select and announce four winners by 3rd September 2013

So what’s in it for the lucky top four?

  1. Digital camera (to help out with future reviews)
  2. 1 Year video editing software licence
  3. ½ day video editing top tips course

Also, our four winners will be invited to spend a day or two with us at giffgaff HQ filming our first handset reviews, which will go live on the site when we launch.

So time to get reviewing giffgaffers. Best of luck.

Blog Update

We have our winners. Congratulations to creepbg marktiddy noscrazy and frolicols who have won our handset video review challange. We will be contacting the winners directly and updating you all in a future blog (and perhaps showing you their entries) later in the week.

Handset video reviews Ts & Cs

Want to win a Digital Camera, Video editing software and a couple of days with the giffgaff team? Then we need your handset video reviews. We’re not too worried about the video quality itself, more the content, so don’t panic if you have to record your video on your phone. Good luck!
Now for the terms and conditions

2. You can enter if you’re 16 or over and a UK resident (but not if you’re a giffgaff employee). Obviously, third party entries, bulk entries or entries submitted by agents are off limits. I love this line:

"To avoid spreading boredom-induced commas..."

I know punctuation is boring, but didn't you mean comas? Smiley Wink
