Ask an agent links changing - 1st of Nov

Hi folks,

 

The time when we will change the Agent links is here.  If you need a refresh on this check out this thread.

 

As part of the change the agent form links will change and as you might remember from that thread we formulated a plan to limit the impact of those links changing:

'..the best solution is to implement a redirect and avoid any broken links. When a an existing form matches a new form perfectly, we will redirect there and when an existing form does not have a perfect equivalent in the new environment we will redirect to the general /ask page so the member is not lost.'

 

That plan is still what we are looking to do but there is one more step we need to account for. That step is the reassurance that the new platform is working as it should. We have done testing with the members  so we are quite confident there will not be major issues, but it is always a bit different when something goes live.

So, in order to accommodate that, for the first week after the new Ask an Agent platform is launched, all the old links will redirect to the general /ask agent page.

 

 

I have here the list of the new links for our helpers, but please be aware that during that first week after launch we might revert back to the old links if we find that there is something considerably wrong with the new platform. As I mentioned earlier, there is little chance of that happening but I wanted you folks to be aware of the possibility.
