@terran_federation

http://www.nominet.uk/whois/?query=1pmobile.co.uk#whois-results

Registrant type:
UK Limited Company, (Company number: 3592271)

    Registrant's address:
        Network HQ
        London
        London
        NW9 5AB
        United Kingdom

Companies house lookup on the company name gives

TELECOMMUNICATIONS MANAGEMENT LIMITED
NETWORK HQ 508 EDGWARE ROAD
THE HYDE
LONDON
NW9 5AB

Searching on the postcode, it looks like it is part of utility warehouse.

https://www.utilitywarehouse.co.uk/services/mobile/tariffs

Though that's not necessarily the prices it will charge for the new business and there's no server yet on the 1pmobile web address.

Considering that Talkmobile pay as you go (Vodafone's own budget brand) already offer UK calls for 10p (for all calls up to one hour)..... there is some stiff competition.  I suppose 1p per minute would be good for short calls.

Nice bit of detective work there @harrrrrry
Thanks for posting that information.

It'll be interesting to see what their offerings are, when they do launch.

I always though doing "twoquidtopup.com" would be a good idea

then i thought about bulk buying time & data off all the networks

then i thought about managing splitting it all out etc

then i thought there's a reason no-one has done this

then i stopped thinking

lets all be nice eh?

This might seem too good to be true. It may be 1p a minute but I'm sure there'll be a setback

My guess is that it could turn out to be 1p per megabyte -- which, if it doesn't expire after a month, is exactly the same as 3 and delight mobile for PAYG customers without bundles.

I've been doing a bit of fishing and it looks like 1p Mobile will be launching at the end of August.

They were due to launch in July, but I saw that their website is now live and there's a countdown clock: www.1pmobile.com

It'll be interesting to see what their pricing is actually like once they do eventually launch.
