Hey guys I have this idea where I think Giffgaff should launch data roll-back ....this allows you to keep the remaining data you didn't use on top of the one you purchased , I think this will help Giffgaff to compete with other SIM providers with this update this will all help us don't you think ?

Yeah I think thats a good idear as a lot of mobile networks do the data roll over so it would be good if giffgaff can do it as well.

Would that be added to the extra free 1GB giffgaff already give on the £10 and above goodybags?

If you didn't use it this month why do you think you'll use it next?

Why not buy the right size goodybag anyway ?

And finally it's already been discussed endlessly, dozens of threads have already been made on the subject .

pfffft!

The mobile phone market seems to be getting a lot more competitive again. Sky (also on o2) have a promotion at the moment for 2GB data and unlimited calls / texts for £6 / month, open to anyone. The data rolls over for up to 3 years as well. Now you do have to contract for 12 months, but as I understand it at the end of 12 months the deal just continues.

The rollover can work, if for example you build it up during term time, and then hotspot it to your kids phones in the holidays

But why be tied into a 12mth contract, and in the case of rollover for up to 3yrs, you're tied in 3yrs for a 12mth contract!

Having looked at many of these rollover 'offers' they only rollover to the next bundle, then it's lost

The answer is to buy the correct goodybag for your use, after all you have an extra GB free, if you're running low, if you use that you can start your next goodybag early.

Don't be suckered by the marketing speak into buying more than you need 'just in case' or 'peace of mind'

In answer to the above comments, you use the data the following month when you get a good data connection. It is frustrating not being able to use your allowance because of inadequate UK network coverage (any network).
