Very quick one here - we've had something that's come up I wanted to run by you all before it's too late.
Because of some emails we've got to send around the same time, we can't run the charity vote the day that we were planning to, because we've got a limit on the amount of emails we can send at once. We also want to give the charity vote time to breathe so that we're not pulling people in two directions.
That means that the charity vote would start a little later than planned, and we'd need to extend the deadline to give people enough time to vote. Even though we get the vast majority of votes within a day of people receiving the email, it's really important to make sure there's enough breathing room for people who aren't able to vote immediately. Unfortunately, we've got a challenge from the other end - we want to finish voting before the selction period closes, so people can choose to donate if it's a charity they particularly care about.
Put simply - we were wondering how you'd feel if, this December, we did away with the early credit payout. Traditionally, there's a window a week before everyone gets paid, where if you've already selected credit, you get it a little early. We're suggesting that instead of that two-tiered system, everyone gets paid at the same time. That means that all of those timings can be extended and that everyone can get their votes in, and it should also fall at the right point so people know exactly how much Payback they have to donate.
What do you think? Ideally we'd like to have consensus (or as close as we can get!) before the end of Friday on this so we know where we are. Let me know your thoughts
