Forum Welcome Screen

[ Edited ]

I, along with many others, love the idea of the giffgaff community and the hundreds of active and helpful members on it, but when I was a new member, I found the layout a little confusing. I know a lot of this is difficult to change because the forum is a third party application but I was thinking of a Welcome screen if you like.

The idea is, the "Community button leads to a page on which several options will appear on clean, simple buttons, pointing users in the right direction. The buttons of course, are just hyperlinked to the sections of the forum so no actual changes have to be made to it.

Below I have enclosed a very brief knock up of what I have in my mind, intending of course that if this did happen, the gg team could source some better quality graphics to use.
Please don't pick on my use of square buttons, fuzzy images or writing over existing text to correct it!

Edit: I forgot to give a few button explanations. Most explain themselves and lead to the named board.

Classic Menu - goes back to the existing menu

Device Problem - goes to help board

Website problem - goes to help board

Account problem - goes to ask an agent page

Re: Forum Welcome Screen

I like it.
Interesting, and looks easier to use.
Maybe a couple of adjustments, but why not?
Put this in the ideas section, and get an educator to look at it as well.
