Test called the EE number, while withholding my own,  has an overseas ringing tone for a few rings and then goes to UK EE official voicemail welcome, in English. So it isn't a fake number, as so often these scam text can be.

 

Not a sophisticated operation by the looks of it.

These scammers are getting clever spoofing big companies numbers. Just read in macrumours Apple getting their numbers spoofed. Scary
