When 02 gets 4g next year, it does not mean GG will buy network space from them.

it will be a while because o2 will get it first, and then, as they own giffgaff, will introduce it later

EE have put £1.5 billion into putting 4G in 11 UK cities and say that the whole of the UK will see 4G coverage rolled out by 2014, with EE being the only phone company within the UK selling 4G enabled smartphones and having a 4G data connection their cheapest package is £36 p/m and that includes 500mb of data, unlimited calls and texts. Until many of the other big phone companies decide to invest in adding the 4G data connection to there networks you will have to pay a small premium for the faster connection speeds. When O2 invests in 4G next year and puts the network infrastructure there that's when GG may buy network space for us all to enjoy 4G connection speeds, but you will have to upgrade your phone to allow you to access 4G and there might be a small rise in price we never know.
