thanks for all the info @1hale Smiley Happy

@owlie We are mostly catering this towards the windows phones, but there is no reason why we should leave out the older OS. As you say people are still going to need help with those phones, so our helpers should be as best equiped as possible.

thanks @limpinpup , I've been looking at this and a few other help communities to see if I can find some of the most common issues and solutions.

I also want to try and get into the nitty-gritty technical stuff if I can.

Surely these quizzes should have been ios / android /windows badged rather than manufacturer badged. Seems daft doing it by manufacturer

If the quiz is going to focus on Windows phone then it might be an idea to lump it in with other windows phones and have a quiz covering that side of smartphones.

The problem with Nokia is it has such a range of handsets still - from the high end windows phones to the 99p call and text phone. I perfectly agree that it should cover symbian if it's a Nokia quiz because symbian is probably more difficult to troubleshoot than windows phone when something isn't quite right... Another thing, which may seem basic but is a common mistake around the forums, is knowing what Nokia phones are windows phone and which are symbian based. I see people clocking it's Nokia and automatically thinking it's windows phone now when the asha range it pretty popular among budget handset buyers...

Hi bud,
I can see a wee problem ahead nokia windows phone os owned by Microsoft might be a wee bit different in the final analysis to what they licence out to the likes of HTC . Does that make any sense bud.

@limpinpupIt does make sense but I have a feeling that there's a bit less variation in Windows Phone OS on different makes of phone than the variations you get in Android...I'm happy to be corrected on that front though Smiley Happy

I do seem to remember variations as you go through different releases of Windows Phone though...

Not sure there's an ideal answer tbh...
