Sorry, it's not my intention to drag it off topic, just to explain why I think we should be holding off further changes until after the platform move and we see what we as users have at our disposal to manage interactions.

Proactivity, on the part of the moderators, isn't software-dependent.

It's policy which is the problem, not the platform.

Agreed on the first part, but user behaviour can change dependent on the platform and the tools which are given to them.

I've only had positive experiences with the moderation team so far, especially after being attacked for no apparent reason by some pillock.

My only bugbear is said pillock is still allowed to post. I'd have banned him quick smart for what he did.

It's one of the reasons I don't read many threads, even when I'm the OP.

@extreme_one

Well they certainly are active as I found out this week ,

i notice we have one from giffgaff who is on threads on help as well that’s new to my time on here

Can’t be bad to know someone is monitoring the threads

one of the problems with some things being reported is so many have not a clue where RC button is ,rudeness often upsets some members but don't report it due to not wanting branding a trouble maker , members who no how it works should do it for them ,

the forum is a complicated place for many and we should do all we can to help newbies and protect them from any sort of abuse ,

if we do as we should happen the moderators could be seen as being fair to all

I think there is a problem which has been raised in another thread, which is the way that educators handle the reports and the way that educators turn on those who make reports rather than do things in the consistent way. Again I cannot give the clear ideas and examples without talking about my own actual experience with the moderation and education process which would break the rules. I will say that I report things to be moved, not to be a judgement, and even there I have problems with the moderator.
