I'm posting because every month I seem to run out of minutes before the end of my goodybag. The thing is that I don't use Internet on my phone. I like a phone to be a phone and I use my computer for the Internet. This appeals to my sense of freedom and privacy. My phone is a battered old one held together with gaffa tape actually.

Could you make a goodybag that would give about 500 minutes, plenty of texts and No data? Then I wouldn't feel I'm paying for something I will never use.

I am like that too @sapa but I guess I am going to have to grin and bear it. I knew the situation beforehand anyway but just got on with it but I do understand where you are coming from

I understand where you are coming from as I am the same.  But the reality is we are in the minority, most people are looking for more data than minutes.

The £10 bag offers 500 minutes which even if you use no texts or data works out at 2p per minute... considerably better than 15p per min on PAYG rates

@sapa

You might want to look at Tello, ( www.tello.co.uk ), who run on the Three network.

You can get a package with 500 minutes, unlimited texts and 100mbs of data for just £6/mo, (or unlimited minutes for just £8/mo), which sound like they are more suitable for you than the goodybags here, (be sure to check the small print).

Life Mobile, which runs on the EE network), may also be more up your street, with y00 mins, 5000 texts and 0.5gbs of data, (3g), being their cheapest tariff at £4.95 via USwitch, ( https://www.uswitch.com/mobiles/networks/life-mobile/sim_only_deals/ ).

I am in the same situation as you @k89bpa I never use data on the phone at all but that seems to be the overall trend now and I guess we just have to grin and bear it.

Mind you, there are other networks who offer  PAYG sim with only minutes and tests but, having said that, I'll stick where I am.

I think giffgaff make their money from people not actually using all the minutes they actually pay for..?

This is how all of the mobile companies make their money! Smiley Wink

@sapa giffgaff caters for the majority requirement of their customers usually. Most people ask for more data not less so unfortunately you're suggestion is a non starter unless you have reason to believe it would be a popular one.
