Just going through my old Labs ideas and found this one. Over a year old now, but I still think it has some value to giffgaffers and giffgaff alike. PLEASE NOTE: my suggestion is not to do away with Payback in its current format, but to add a 4th option:
@lpwilliams Just been looking at one of the examples in your idea...
B)> I have £100 cashback and chose Amazon vouchers (to give me an extra 3%) IF giffgaff can bulk buy vouchers through corporate scheme at a 10% reduction, then cost to giffgaff = £90 and I get £103. I have more and giffgaff saved too - WIN:WIN
Is the £103 you get £103 in Amazon vouchers? If so then isn't the cost to giffgaff £103 - 10% = £92.70p? Or am I confusing myself some where?
Either way... nice idea.
I haven't looked at the link, but something to bear in mind - vouchers expire. If you had £300 payback that's a lot to spend on Amazon all at once.
10 years for amazon vouchers.i think i`d use them up before that
a few thoughts
wouldn`t this idea cause more admin?do giffgaff need to do more than payback?is this just greed?
whatever the answers merry christmas everyone
amazon vouchers are now 1% on quidco but there are many other better vouchers
