It would have been nice to have had a text message this morning to tell me there was a problem with the network. Both me and my partner wasted a lot of time thinking it was our phones/sims that were the problem.
@escotb Unfortunately had O2 giffgaff sky tesco etc sent SMS messages to all their customers that would have required the sending of 3 million texts at a time when texts were only working intermittently. When GG alone text their customer base it has to be spread over 3 days to avoid disruption. so sorry this would not have been viable. It was widely covered by the news services all day.
