I bought a new phone yesterday. My old sim didn’t fit so, I had to do a sim swap. Did it at midday on December 02. I waited and waited for the number and goodbag to be transferred. The phone showed : no service.

I knew I had to give it 24 hours so I left it overnight. This morning, still no service. I was “lost” without my phone. I decided to switch it off and restart and, straight away, there it was: Giffgaff signal! What a relief. I wonder if I should have done it earlier?

Hi @jo1946 yes, turning your phone off and back on periodically is recommended when doing a SIM swap. Smiley Wink

Thank you. Yes, I am already enjoying my new phone. I’d had a second hand IPhone 4S for 4 years. The guys in the Apple shop had a good laugh when they saw it. Ah! The youth of today.....
