After the today network outage, being out of service for the whole day, without being able to call, text or use data I think we should have been provided with emergency access to all kinds of Wifi hotspots, from BT, Virgin and EE on the expense of Giffgaff. Just as we are able to connect to WifiExtra we should have been facilitated the use of all major WiFi hotspots in the country. That way we could at least send an important WhatsApp message in the absence of sms service, pay for parking online, or let family know that we are stuck in the middle of nowhere...

Wifi calling and texting TuGo style would have had its full use today through wifi. That's why we kept insisting for it, not for some kind of crazy fashion.

Thanks for listening at least from now on, giffgaff.

I do think that Giffgaff should make some sort of gesture of goodwill to those of us that have been affected, in a similar way to the obligation upon utility companies to pay compensation for outages. Im disappointed to see all the childish comments, and mockery on this forum of those making such requests.
