Monthly or quarterly payback?
@pinkprincess116 has asked the question: "As giffgaff gets bigger and as it's more well-known that payback should be paid monthly or quarterly". This is a subject that has been discussed before but it's an interesting one, is this something that giffgaff should look into? Or, are you happy with our current arrangements? You can add your thoughts and opinions here.
Direct agent link categories
@sloz has noticed some problems when accessing the direct agent links and the ever-resourceful sloz has posted the members some suggestions here on how to get around the problem including prefixing the redirect. Nice one, I'm sure the members will be very thankful.
What will 5G bring?
As @t_will has pointed out, it seems like we've only just gotten to the point where 4G is the norm for a lot of people, and 5G is already on people's lips as the new technological leap forward. So, giffgaff would love to see your predictions for what the next generation of mobile technology will bring. What do you see it being used for? Share your thoughts here.
@fadlur_f gave us an update on the review process for December 2018 and so far in January 2019. So, in the two months, there were 329 submissions made:
The idea states: giffgaff to giffgaff calls are not free once they exceed the one hour limit, the idea is to put an option on our giffgaff account which lets us end calls after an hour, where we can choose which contacts we want this option for or simply choose "enable for giffgaff contacts only". We would love to hear your thoughts on this idea.
This idea states: giffgaff to roll out 5G sooner rather than years down the line and being behind in the mobile pack. Put more investment into faster speeds etc. Would this be something you would like to available on giffgaff, would it be an option you would be prepared to pay extra for? Or, is it something a budget service shouldn’t be spending money on developing? Please give us your views on this idea.
Samsung S10 - What We Know
Over the last few weeks and months, speculation has run high about Samsung's next big move. Last December they previewed a prototype of a new 5G phone, possibly of a new version of the Galaxy. Well now, finally, our hopes and dreams are about to be brought to life. On Wednesday 20th February, Samsung will be announcing the launch of it's newest addition to the Galaxy range, the S10 (which of course will have sub-versions, but we'll get into that). You may have seen rumours surrounding the launch of the highly anticipated Galaxy X, which if you are unaware, is Samsung's attempt at a foldable phone, which was first revealed at Samsung's Developer Conference in November of last year, and since then speculation has run rife as to when it will be released. We may potentially see the X be released in addition to the new range of Galaxy S10s. But we will cross that bridge when we come to it, so let's focus in on the S10 for a little, what rumours have been floating around so far?
To start with, we could see 4 versions of the S10. First being the S10 E, a lite version, somewhat cheaper than it's bigger brothers, expected to be priced at around £600-£700, with a 5.8 inch display, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, with a 12MP selfie camera and a 16MP rear camera. Next is the standard S10, which is expected to be priced at around £700-£900 (depending on storage), it will come with a 6.2 inch display, 6GB of RAM, a dual option of either 128GB or 256GB of storage, a 12MP selfie camera and a dual-lens 16MP and 13MP rear camera. The S10 Plus, expected to be priced between £900-£1000, with a 6.44 inch display 6GB or 8GB of RAM and a dual storage option of 128GB of storage or 512GB (Potentially a third option, not sure yet though), a 12MP selfie camera and a dual-lens 16MP and 13MP rear camera. The final option is the S10 X, rumoured to be priced somewhere in the region of £1000-£2000, with a 6.7 inch display, 10GB of RAM, a triple storage option of 256GB 512GB and 1TB (!!!), and a 12MP selfie camera and a dual-lens 16MP and 13MP rear camera.
That's all we know for now, however as launch day comes closer and closer, rumours will spread around different facts and figures. The key difference in all rumours and leaks between the versions, is that all phones except the S10 E will have an inbuilt fingerprint scanner, and also that the S10 X will have built-in 5G technology (With the slow rollout of 5G tech across Europe and the wider world, we could see the X release a little later). It is rumoured that all the phones will come with the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, as a prototype of the 5G S10 X featured in last December's Qualcomm Tech Summit. All of this is based on leaks and speculation, we will have to wait till launch day to find out what the S10 range will look like.

On this day in...
1587, Mary Queen of Scots was executed at Fotheringhay Castle on the order of Queen Elizabeth. As the Mother of King James VI of Scotland and I of England, Mary was Elizabeth's greatest rival to the throne and could have successfully returned England to Catholicism.
1926, Walt Disney changes the name of Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio to Walt Disney Studios, setting the company up to become the world's most famous animation studio. Without him, many many classic films and characters would never exist.
1960, Queen Elizabeth II announced her family henceforth would be known as the House of Windsor taking the surname, Mountbatten-Windsor in a declaration to the Privy Council. This further removed the British royal family from its German roots.
