@isabel1066

Message number 35. That's where she says that airtime credit is of no use to her.

Sorry to contradict you hassan_javed, but if that were true , my phone would have been working from day 1 . Once Giffgaff admitted the problem was down to them, it was giffgaff who fixed it by giving me an unlock code.

You made a fair point @jaymailsays. I have been back in touch with them. They not prepared to budge from £20 Airtime credit. I have explained that I would have to be a giffgaff customer in order to benefit from that. Yet another tactic to force us into using them?? I dont know, but not prepared to let it drop now.. Anyone know where I go next? I do intend to take it further.

But she's not a giffgaff customer so the credit was swapped out for a refund.

In her last but one post she said that she told the agent that £20 airtime credit is of no use to her. Her last post confirms they've given her a £20 refund instead because of the " extenuating circumstances".

@valer82561

Can you confirm that you received the £20 refund instead of the airtime credit, or did you receive the £20 credit plus a £20 refund?

@natty_noo for you to ask somebody that's maybe left giffgaff this means you are not 100% sure what the member got.

I'm 100% certain @isabel1066 , i'm only asking for confirmation for you because you can't seem to grasp what she's saying.

And they couldn't have 'left giffgaff' if they were never with them in the first place, hence NOT wanting £20 airtime credit.

@natty_noo you can't grasp valer never said she swapped the credit for cash you are just summarising it.

@natty_noo if giffgaff offered the £20 credit then they must have had an active sim card as she said in one of her replies something to keep her on giffgaff.

Now now ladies, it's not rocket science.

The customer was initially offered £20 airtime credit, the customer (as in buying a phone, not using giffgaff as a provider) then told the agent that, as she's not a giffgaff customer, having £20 airtime credit would be pointless. So the agent, being a good CS adviser, refunded her £20 cash instead. Everyone's happy!

See, not rocket science Smiley Wink

@natty_noo
I had assumed they had swapped the credit to a refund too. At the present time there is still credit on my account and I am waiting for the refund.
