I think GiffGaff should support WiFi calling from iPhones - all other UK networks do!

@texbrit

Why would iphones be favoured particularly?

Thanks for that endorphin! When I searched for this subject, nothing came up! Any further news since February? How long does it take to look into it??! I'm glad they are looking into it. I only found out that this was possible today, but then I'm not technically minded!!!!!

I'm not sure, but I thought only iPhones had this option if the network they were on allowed it!

Hi @texbrit

WiFi calling is only supported for contract users on most networks (Three is the exception) and it’s not supported on many MVNO’s (virtual networks) at all. It is also available to the users of some Android phones, it’s not only an iPhone feature (though it’s more widespread for iPhone models).

It’s unlikely to see it even considered on Giffgaff while o2 don’t supply it their direct PAYG customers or to contract customers on Tesco mobile.

It’s an excellent feature, but if you want it on payg the only option is currently Three.

Good idea, it would be great if this happens. Why not on other phones to as already said.
