I don't and won't have a Facebook Account?

Please can you give me a pathway to engage without having to use Facebook?

A very disgruntled Giff Gaffer

Why can't we engage here?

@adrius42 where are you being forced to use Factbook?

This forum, Contribute, is specifically for feedback about giffgaff.

In an email from Giff Gaff,: Giff Gaff Game Plan: The Founders Update. It includes a contribution link"REMOVEDBYME"

Which then takes me here:

Seriously Facebook? In this day and age, with Facebook's reputation!

I expect MUCH MORE from Giff Gaff, especially those calling themselves Founders!

Specifically relating to the protection of my agency, privacy and security.

As I stated, a very frustrated and disappointed Giff Gaffer.

I agree with you this Forum should be the best way to engage.

But *someone* has setup a private group on Facebook to do the same thing.

According to

you don't have to join F'book to engage

"....we’ll be trying to bring more communication channels into the mix, for those of you out there that like to venture outside the forums (like a private Facebook group coming soon), but don’t worry. No matter where you feel more comfortable chatting to us, you’ll still get the full story and the same benefits."

I agree, we shouldn't be using facebook in site links or emails unless the link is very clearly identified as being a facebook link.

But equally, we shouldn't have google-hosted code or services in web pages -- but the page you're reading presently has at least one google service or link:

Google may, or may not, be worse that facebook but we should always presume "it's google, therefore it's spyware".

It also seems to be completely unnecessary -- I'm blocking it, and the page is working fine.

Its high time every webmaster adopted a strict "no third party code or services unless it's carefully vetted open source and rehosted on our own servers" policy.

Hi @harrrrrry @adrius42 @nominate @extreme_one

Remember before it reaches the website, the data is stored on dns for how long they like, I created a guide here Smiley Wink

that is a move to dns that does gurantee of not storing that data.

But I do agree data should be agreed upon to be shared not taken.

Your link is bust whether or not I am signed in. >> invalid parameters.

I think we need to continue to nudge Giff Gaff in the right direction.
Personal/Customer Agency should be at the core of everything we/they do.

The problem is that both Google and Facebook make it easy to engage customers without engaging an IT department, and we all know how responsive “they are”.
