So - i top up and see that the price plans have changed. I now have to pay an extra fiver a month to get the same package as last month - always on/anytime. Steep rise guys, what is all that about beyond profits ? This is a staggering 20%+ increase. Not only that but i have just been hit with data speed restrictions before the package ends. Why spoil a good thing. I am being offered unlimited by other companies on high speed for less but need a phone line. Do i detect greed creeping in. Shame.

Except it's not the same package that you bought last month.

The old £20 always on goodybag only had 9GB of full speed data before the daytime speed restrictions but the new £25 one has 20GB of full speed data which is a staggerting increase of about 125% in the amount of full speed data but as you say the price has only increasesd by approx 20%.

It's not the same package -- data at full network speed has increased from 9GB to 20GB.

That may not be what you want, but overall its probably better value for most members to be able to use 20GB before reaching the speed reduction.

It may be less convenient, but most people would be better off getting the £10 goodybag and making better use of landlines or free wifi to download large data (especially videos) in advance.

This is bringing it into line with some of the larger companys as far as data, but at a cheaper price than most.Well done.My only thing is a think that anyone not using it up should be able to carry it over

Unfortunately companies have to update their offers to stay relevant with the current state of an ever changing market. And I understand your disappointment at the changes made to your goodybag of choice. However looking at the refreshed £20 offer, while it is not "always on" it gives an extra 11GB at full speed. You might find that you don't actually use more than 20GB per month anyway. So effectively this could offer you better value and a better, faster data experience. It might be worth giving it a try?

Hello it’s an extra £5 but you now get 20gb not 9gb at full speed that’s not bad for just a fiver

giffgaff ended unlimited a couple years ago you surely can’t expect that for £25

On a payg network no contract

You are not making a fair comparison because the amount of data before daytime slowdown has increased greatly.
