A lot of fuss about nothing. He should shed a tear for us normal people who have to work well into their late 60's and retire with very little.

With a few admirable exceptions, what a miserable, unfeeling lot you are.   Sure he doesn’t need to worry about the money, but that’s not the point. Having to give up what you love doing and are good at, at the ripe old age of 31 must be really tough, and I for one feel really sorry for him.  Good luck Andy - when you get over it, there will be other opportunities. I’m sure his enterprising Mum will come up with some suggestions !
