We're planning our 2020 wedding as we speak. The theme is "wildflowers" so we were thinking jars of locally sourced honey, and envelopes of wildflower seeds as little favours.

But do you actually expect to receive wedding favours if your a guest at a wedding?

I'm thinking it's more of an American thing, UK suppliers have caught on to make a quick buck, and actually UK guests don't expect to get a "favour" and they'd most likely not get used anyway.

What's your thoughts?

Wedding favours and baby showers are American inventions designed purely for making money.

They are the masters of capitalism.

I believe that a wedding should be completely focused on the bride and groom, celebrating their lifetime commitment and love for each other. Guests should expect to give not receive.
