RIP Pete Shelley.

I got into Buzzcocks in a big way after hearing Time's Up on a punk compilation CD I bought nearly 25 years ago, that blew me away, then a older friend did a copy of the Love Bites album for me, played it so much I wore out the tape. I eventually bought the album on CD.

He was also responsible for (in my opinion) the iconic theme tune of Channel Four's coverage of the Tour de France in the late 80s, which I had as a ringtone for a while (also sad that another person associated with the Tour de France coverage on Ch4, Paul Sherwen, passed away earlier in the week).

Sad day. I saw them with Joy Division more years ago than I care to remember.
