I was just flicking through a few of the recent pages and noticed you talking about being pulled over by the police, out of quriosity how did they know you was using red diesel? Hope you don't mind me being nosey lol @nat9319

That probably (Mostly) has something to do with the fact that I had 20 litres of the stuff in a clear container in the passenger footwell @josh08shaw, I filled the boot & decided to risk leaving that one in plain sight (Kinda wasn't expecting to get pulled)...

Naturally suspicions arose, questions were asked & I admitted the car was running on it (Just so I could bugger off quicker), I was just colour matching, red Merc, red diesel 😉

How much does it roughly cost you per litre of red diesel by any chance if you know ? Just quirious lol @nat9319

Also did the car run exactly the same with that stuff ? Sorry for all the random questions but I've always wanted to know things about using red diesel ☺👍

@josh08shaw, I get it for roughly 70p per litre, off a family friend, but it's usually between 80p - 85p around here right now, I've got a hell of a lot of the stuff, probably more than the guy I get it off ☺

Yeah it runs fine, but I wouldn't mix it with normal diesel, apparently you can, but I get my tank emptied properly before I put the red in, funnily enough, that's what I had to do to get the red out after I was 'caught' too...

It seems the same, I didn't have it with normal diesel in it for long, my last car wasn't exactly built for speed but it got the same MPG & performance as on duty paid diesel...

As with all fuels it's easily contaminated, if it is it'll bugger your car up sooner or later... Buying it off a randomer in a filthy looking barrel probably isn't the best idea, but I've never had any car troubles due to the fuel 😉
