I have been adviced   that I need to have a Home Help to clean my flat. After 60 years of cleaing my home and actually taking pride in doing it.  I have come down to getting someone to do it for me.

The lady I am having to do this is very nice and kind and is the sort of person who I could be a friend with but I feel so guilty having to resort to doing this.

Does anyone else have any home help

@123kingarthur  I'm pleased to hear that you have found somebody to help. I have help too but I don't feel guilty just had to accept that I needed help.

In most countries it is normal to have home help, in fact people have multiple "servants" who do various chores around the home. Seems bit awkward for me when I first saw this because I am also used to doing house work myself.
But sometimes its nice to get a bit of help when needed Smiley Happy @123kingarthur

You are lucky to have it @123kingarthur, so accept gracefully and try to resist the urge to boss. Smiley Very Happy  However, as someone who believes that we should clean up our own mess, I understand our reservation.

@majorincident I find it is going to be a bit expensive but I will see how many hours that I can afford

@aiman12 A friend of mine has this lady come twice a week and she makes a lovely job of cleaning her home.It is not just that it is difficult to physically clean but my sight is not that bright either

I didn't realise you were paying out of your own pocket.  Perhaps have your cleaner concentrate on those areas that need the most attention such as the kitchen and bathroom.

@123kingarthur  I know how hard it is to accept that you need help, I was just the same. I have a lady who comes once a week as there is only me, the house doesn't need a lot of work. She will also help me with anything else I might need doing.

Also you are keeping somebody in work so look at it from that perspective.
