Random I know but can you just walk into a hospital and ask them to do a drugs test? If not, where can you go to do one if it was an emergency? Say you had to prove you were clean to a partner etc

Yeah i would try your doctor first but whats he going to say ??   Hes going to say to you "YOU must know whether you're taking drugs or not"

Why should the NHS waste money on druggies if they cant control themselves ??

Sorry if above post comes over as sarcastic. Just pisses me off druggies who claim they cant kick it. Lock you in room 24/7 for a month with only food and job done

As someone with experience in this field I'm afraid the locking in a room is only partly successful. Many people can get clean and sober this way ie hospital detox, but will use again as soon as they leave. Many professionals see a detox as only treating the symptom. To truely beat addiction you need to look at the root cause. Why did they start to use in the first place? No one makes the concious decision to become a addict or alcoholic it is often just the outcome of a deeper unser lying problem
