How do I dispose of light bulbs?

I am not sure if I am getting mixed up with batteries, but my local screwfix counter has a bucket

You could always ask this guy who turned up on The Word in the early 90s to dispose of them for you....

i always put them in dust bin don't think they can do much with old lightbulb

@kimwong I figure they're made of glass so I always put them in my blue bin wrapped in newspaper so no one gets hurt :-)

All old light bulbs, whatever type, I just rap up in a lot of paper and place in the bin liner that is in the bin. When the bin liner is full I tie the top and it goes in the House hold rubbish bin for collection.
Not worth the fuel or a trip to the recycle section at the tip for a lightbulb regardless of what a council may tell me. The very nature of the polluting car journey also outweighs one lightbulb.

Our bin men don't touch our rubbish they just push the bin to the lorry and its mechanically emptied.
