How do I dispose of light bulbs?

Do they go in the blue recycle bin or the black bin? They are normal, old style bulbs, not the new type.

You need to ask your LA to see how to dispose of them. Mine just ask for it to be placed in with the normal recycling but many are different 😀

They can be safely disposed at you local council reclamation centre.

@kimwong I am not sure because if they break it could hurt the bin men
I usually put them in a small box and wait for the bin men to arrive and hand it to them

Black bin they are normal household rubbish.

I put lightbulbs in the household rubbish bin.  My local authority does not accept lightbulbs as part of its recycling programme.

The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars but in ourselves.
