The UK average figure is now >£1100 a year and I know that I probably don’t spend even a quarter of that...
Though when I think about a new coat, shoes, replacing underwear... Sharing the cost over a few years perhaps I’m closer than I realised.
Do you think you spend too much /little on clothes? Do you buy clothes for other people who would either live in rags?
I think I spend around £450 on clothes a year including shoes and underwear and handbags things dont last long anymore I buy most my clothes from Primark, Peacocks or Dorthy Perkins but woth Primark its not long till them hem goes on the t shirts or the undwear starts to go tatty looking. I buy something because I like it and like to wear it till the death but give it around 2 months and clothes start to bubble or go off colour or out of shape the hem comes undone and they start to develop little holes and has to go in the bin no point giving it to the charity shops who would want them.
Same here 👍😀@frenchielove ..... we seem to think like minded and indeed have an awful lot in common ... .. and I also would never spend such a large amount annually on clothes ....... as long as clean comfortable and practical, I'm happy ... never ever been fashion conscious or designer label minded either 🤔
I don't spend much, I always look for the sale ticket. My clothes aren't replaced very often, they last year's. I will buy second hand, brought a lovely pink Mac from eBay for £10. I often have clothes brought at Christmas and Birthdays.
Shoes I will pay a bit more for, I think quality counts. 😊
